Bulk Texter Pro now supports TextNow
TextNow support is live as of v2.6.0. If you use a TextNow number to keep business texting off your personal cell, Bulk Texter Pro can now send personalized bulk texts from it.
Why TextNow
A lot of our users are one-person operations who needed a second number and didn't want to pay for a business phone system. TextNow is a cheap, fast way to get one — but it has no bulk sending at all, so texting sixty customers meant typing sixty messages.
That's the gap this closes. Write the message once with blanks in it, upload a spreadsheet, and every customer gets their own version from your TextNow number.
One setup detail that trips people up
Your Bulk Texter Pro subscription email has to exactly match your TextNow account email. That's how the integration verifies your subscription belongs to your number. If they don't match, Bulk Texter Pro will show your account as Unverified and won't send.
You'll find your TextNow address under Email on the TextNow settings page. Register with that same one and you're set.
Sending expectations
TextNow users generally manage around 100 quality messages an hour, and free accounts are more limited than paid ones. TextNow is also aggressive about shutting down numbers that look like spam — so this is a tool for messaging customers who already know you, not for cold outreach.
