These release notes cover only the browser extension portion of Bulk Texter Pro. Starting with v3.0.2, most Bulk Texter Pro functionality is cloud hosted, and will not be reflected in these release notes.

    • This change will also enable users to use TextBlaze with Bulk Texter Pro, if they wish to.

v2.10.8 – March 5, 2025​

  • Fixes an edge case where our Dialpad integration sometimes reported texts as failing, when they actually succeeded.
  • Fixes an issue where our Google Voice integration could mark texts as sent while they were still pending.

  • Reverts the changes from v2.10.2, due to unexpected issues with delays of longer than 30 seconds between texts.

v2.10.2 – December 16, 2024​

  • Enables sending texts while the browser is minimized or in the background! It can even send texts while the computer is locked, as long as it's not asleep. This has long been one of our biggest requests from teachers and schools, and we're glad we figured out how to support it!

  • In the event that the background process has crashed, Bulk Texter Pro will now automatically reload, instead of just leaving messages stuck in pending.

v2.9.6 – August 24, 2024​

  • If your Google Workspaces admin disabled Google Photos for your organization, Bulk Texter Pro wasn't able to send photos via Google Voice, even via local file upload. This update fixes that.

v2.9.5 – August 22, 2024​

  • Disables the account menu in the event of network errors.
  • Updates the welcome screen to point out that telemarketing is forbidden by our terms of use.
  • Fixes some rare edge cases that could cause the Bulk Texter Pro background process to crash.
  • Updates the Bulk Texter Pro logo.

v2.9.4 – August 9, 2024​

  • Brings the welcome screen for Firefox users into full compliance with Mozilla privacy guidelines:
    • Switches to an AMO/Mozilla hosted privacy policy link instead of our own hosted one.
    • Adds a summary of the data collected, should the user consent to data collection.
    • Adds a summary of impact, should the user decline data collection.

v2.9.3 – August 7, 2024​

  • Now automatically resizes images to be smaller than 2MB! 🎉 Goodbye, unhelpful Google Voice errors caused by too-large images! 👋 (Gifs are not currently resized, but will now show a clear error message if they're too large.)
  • Fixes edge case where subscription portal links were sometimes expired.
  • Cleans up the initial subscription flow.

  • Fixes another Dialpad bug, where successfully sent texts were sometimes saved with an error status.

  • Now detects when your phone number isn't set up yet, and gives a clear message about setting it up first.
  • Now displays your Google Voice account email address, in the case that your subscription doesn't match.
  • Now defaults to the most recently used Google Voice user account, even across computer reboots. This should reduce the frequency of the "Unverified" error for users with multiple Google accounts.
  • Makes troubleshooting iMessage issues (slightly) more intuitive.
  • Fixes a bug where iMessage texts weren't showing up in the History tab.

Apple Shortcut release notes​
